David Black was born in East Lothian, Scotland before his family returned to their roots in the North Yorkshire countryside. Having grown up near York, David spent over 25 years in the events industry. Having started a mobile disco at the age of 18 – David provided the entertainment at countless parties from the mid-eighties to the end of the nineties which led to him creating a marquee and furniture hire business which, now under new ownership, continues to supply essential items to parties, weddings and events across the UK.
These days, between writing books, David runs an asset finance and car leasing business based in York.
In his free time, David is chairman of The James Bond International Fan Club which has led to countless radio, TV and press interviews. His love of Ian Fleming’s novels reveals itself in his avid attention to detail and sense of adventure reflected in his writing.
